About this toolBlood–brain barrier drug-permeability prediction from human single-cell transcriptomics
The BBB Transporter Atlas predicts whether a drug is likely to cross the blood–brain barrier by mapping it to the transporter genes it interacts with, then reading those genes’ expression in brain capillary endothelial cells from real human single-cell / single-nucleus RNA-seq. It combines an Aim 1 healthy baseline (mean expression across three independent human datasets) with Aim 2 disease shifts (how those transporters change in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease).
